Simas | Grand Tour Italia - Cersaie, Bologna 2026

A journey through Italian places, architecture and landscapes

Grand Tour Italia is the title of the Simas exhibition space at Cersaie 2026, conceived and curated by architect Giuliano Andrea Dell’Uva, a leading figure in Italian architecture and interior design. An exhibition setting that, together with the new Simas catalogue, represents a statement consistent with the brand's identity and future vision.

Since 1955, Simas has been shaping spaces dedicated to water. With Grand Tour Italia, ceramics become a journey, telling the story of Simas collections, its heritage and its approach to ceramics through Italian places, architecture and landscapes, in a timeless expression of beauty.

Each collection is paired with a place through a deep affinity, creating a journey in which the classic and contemporary forms of sanitaryware, washbasins and furnishings enter into dialogue with architecture, colours, materials and atmospheres, establishing a natural relationship with the exhibition space.

The collections express a strong material character and tell a story of tradition and craftsmanship, also reflected in the choice of strictly hand-decorated ceramic coverings.

Water and matter: the common thread of the project

Grand Tour Italia brings together elements deeply rooted in Simas' corporate culture: water, one of the main ingredients in the mixture from which ceramics are created, and matter, the essence and original form of ceramics, shaped and decorated according to the company's manufacturing tradition.

It is within this imaginary geography of water and matter that projects and products find their place in settings connected to the traditions and cultural significance of different locations. Water thus becomes the common thread connecting territories, stories and visions, while matter represents the very essence of ceramics.

The exhibition space as a narrative and experiential journey

An open dialogue between the space and its contents invites visitors to observe the physical environment from unexpected perspectives, transforming the exhibition into a true narrative and experiential journey.

It is therefore not simply a matter of displaying objects within a space, but of creating a place capable of engaging visitors on an emotional, sensory and tactile level. The space itself becomes an integral part of the narrative and its cultural message.

Architect Giuliano Andrea Dell’Uva's vision thus allows Simas to place its own story within the broader history of Italy, renewing its narrative through the exhibition space at Cersaie 2026.

Barberini Allestimenti was responsible for the construction and installation of the Simas exhibition space, bringing the architectural project to life.
