Concept and design are by the client. Barberini Allestimenti managed the production and installation of the stand at Cersaie, bringing the exhibition space to life in full respect of the original design concept.
The project stems from a research into the ordinary places of everyday life: familiar spaces, experienced on a daily basis, that can quietly express their own identity and a distinctive architectural dignity.
The stand brings these places into the exhibition environment, interpreting them through two distinct settings, each connected to the identity of a different brand: a self-service laundromat for 41zero42, and an archive, conceived as a design library, for Sodai. Two public, everyday places that may appear anonymous at first glance, yet are recognizable through their atmosphere, function, and the layering of objects, materials, and gestures.
The laundromat, associated with 41zero42, becomes a place of waiting and sharing — an informal and contemporary environment where the product engages with a familiar everyday experience. The archive, connected to Sodai, is conceived instead as a space of memory, research, and preservation: a design library where materials, references, and products come together to create a landscape dedicated to knowledge and design.
The two environments are thus brought into the exhibition as distinct spatial landscapes, where product, architecture, and atmosphere coexist while preserving the individual identity and values of each brand.
The aim is to give character to the space without overshadowing the product: a measured and contemporary architecture, capable of transforming ordinary places into an experience and translating the identities of 41zero42 and Sodai through space.
